Are you attempting to install this on a Windows XP system by any chance? There is an issue on some Windows XP systems with the Root Certificates not being up-to-date resulting in this type of error. The product that you are installing appears to be VC Eclipse 2.2 GA version. For this version you might try updating the Root Certificates. ------------------------------- The Micro Focus publisher details for the install certificate needs resolving before proceeding with the installation. The following Microsoft KB articles refer to similar issues and recommend installing the MS Root Certificate Update. support.microsoft.com/.../931125 www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx After installing the Root Certificate update (rootsupd.exe) from Microsoft, it is possible to complete the installation with Micro Focus recognized as the publisher of the Visual COBOL installer. --------------------------------- We have also run into this when trying to install the Visual COBOL Eclipse 2.2 update 1 product under some Windows XP.systems. We have changed the way we sign these installers and a fix should be available in VC 2.2 update 2 to be released in the Fall that should solve that problem. Thanks
